This week travel has been a big topic for both G & I, my fears of flying and her general silliness and tips for interviewees. Are you sick of hearing about it yet? Unfortunately, that's too bad cause I'm travelin' again this weekend and blogging about it. :)
So with a little less then 48 hours at home, I'm heading out on the road again. Yeah, like we're not busy enough these days. :) This time though I'm traveling for fun and not business. Mr. Zoë and I are celebrating 7 years of wedded bliss this weekend with a trip to Victoria, British Columbia. Happy Anniversary Boo! Go ahead and laugh. I dare you.
Anyway, we typically shun the mandatory barbeques that typify Memorial Day weekend to spend a little time together and kick off the summer. Living in Seattle has been great because we can be in any number of awesome places in just a few hours. Plus we're going by my favorite mode of transportation; the road trip. And, oh boy, do I absolutely love me the road trip.
I don't know if it was because of all that driving we did when I was a kid (surprisingly I'm not damaged from the beatings my brothers inflicted on me in the back seat) or all the road trips we took in college, but I just love getting in the car, driving, listening to music or books on tape, eating, talking and stopping in those weird off-beat places. My favorite so far was driving through a Redwood in California.
So no advice for you today, no smart pearls of wisdom on interviewing or resumes. Just a little note to say that I'm still here JobSyntaxing away and lovin' every minute of it. And, if you have Monday off, to wish you a very happy long weekend to spend with your friends and family!
Cheers,
zoë
