*Update: Blog Swap registration is closed! Thanks to all those who signed up to participate.
When you finally meet your blog friends in person, you never know what you are gonna get. Thankfully, meeting up with Jason Davis over at Recruiting.com was a pretty cool experience. Even better, over a really questionable dinner and a great view, a new idea was born: a blog swap. What is it you ask? It’s a Frankensteinesque experiment designed to stretch us outside our current limits and provide us with exposure to new audiences.
Here’s the deal: We want to get a bunch of people involved in swapping blog posts over the next few weeks or months. BUT, we want to be organized about this so here’s how it’s gonna work:
- You’ll sign up (just drop us a comment here) and commit to writing one post a week for a blog other then your own
- You’ll write the blog post keeping with the theme of the blog you are assigned to that week (i.e. if we were assigned to Steven Rothberg's Blog, then we’d write about College Recruiting)
- You’ll maintain your own expertise and focus, even while writing on others’ blogs. (i.e. to use Steven's site as an example again: we’d write about College Recruiting with a focus on recruiting and job hunting for software engineers)
Here’s what Jason and the JobGals will do:
Here’s what you’ll get:
- A chance to network with other recruiting bloggers
- An opportunity to learn about a recruiting or other related areas you may not be familiar with
- The likelihood of expanding your reach and readership to new audiences
Here’s who can participate:
- Anyone with a passion and interest in careers, recruiting, job searching, etc. You don’t have to work in the recruiting field. We’d love to hear what non-recruiting professionals think about recruiting-related issues! And recruiting bloggers would love to put a recruiting spin on non-recruiting blogs.
- Bloggers. It’s all about the swap so you if you don’t have blog real estate to contribute, you can’t play. Sorry. Maybe it’s time you get your own blog! :)
Sign up today, and we’ll get started soon!
Cheers,
