Z and I have been swapping spit around the recruiting blogosphere as of late. You’ve seen our guest bloggers here, here, and here, but where are we blogging?
The point of BlogSwap is to write for your blogging buddy’s audience. So the posts you see here should reflect content you want to see. Likewise, we’ve been writing on topics that may not interest our readers, but who am I to judge?
We’re only finished with week 4 but here’s where we’ve been so far …
Me over at my buddy Jim’s Jim Stroud 2.0. Jim is super creative, and his readers expect nontraditional blog entries … so I decided to write a few haikus. A sample:
in search of the next employee
perfect candidate -
not anybody will do.
purple squirrel a must
Zoe over at Jim Durbin’s STLRecruiting blog. She tells all those St. Louis readers why their city rocks ... as a top source for qualified software engineers.
And me again over at Jobster head honcho Jason Goldberg’s blog. I talk about how recruiters and employees can join forces to recruit that much better. You know me and those dead horses. ;-)
And finally, one more turn with me ... this time on recruiting.com. Recruiting through virtual relationships is hot right now ... but the real problem the recruiting industry needs to solve is how to measure a recruiter's effectiveness at developing relationships through virtual means. Given the current state of recruiting metrics, a recruiter would have to be nuts (like me!) to break from tradition.
We're half way through our 1st 8 week blogging tour ... Next week we're off to asia with the Asia Pacific Headhunter. We’ll keep you updated.

P.S. Happy birthday, Mr. Gretchen!
