Sort of…it’s more like Mr. Zoë and I are expecting a new partner! Though I think Gretchen is just as excited, has been exceedingly supportive, and baby will of course be a huge part of the team.
Anyway, if you can tell from the picture in which, by the way I feel I look hugely deranged, that’s a baby bump I’m sporting. Too bad I’m not a celebrity or I would have been on baby bump watch a la Nicole Kidman or Angelina Jolie. But hey we can’t all be willowy movie stars, right?
So we’re having a baby due to arrive in late February. And because I am like all doting moms-to-be and we have the miracle of science and technology on our hands, here is one of the first pictures of baby in utero. It's a profile shot of baby sucking it's thumb. I kindly refer to these as fetus porn as it brings copious amounts of oohs and ahs from grandparents-to-be.
With this newest development I’m sure you're asking – what’s going to happen with JobSyntax? Well as with any business we are at the point where we are thinking about next steps, where we want to grow, how to incorporate my maternity leave (because yes, I will be taking some time off), and how to do more of what we love.
This is a natural evolution of our business, but it just happens to coincide nicely with this life cycle event we’re experiencing. We have some big changes in the works (some of you may have already noticed a few tweaks to the site) and will be discussing and sharing our new business plans in the next few days. It’s not a radical departure from what we are doing currently, but I can tell you that we are really excited about where we’re going.
Gret and I are looking forward to sharing our plans with you soon!
All the best,
Zoë
