I'm not sure if this what is meant by personal branding, but I think that name applies. I want to create a unified appearance of resume, website, personal (as opposed to business) card, etc. Without being a graphics designer, are there any suggestions for coming up with a unified appearance for these media. The closest I've ever done is probably using a logo on them that I created myself. In helping with that and influenced by a suggestion of Gretchen, I have the gurganus.name domain name for at least e-mail and Web site and so I think that helps at a technical level but not at a graphical appearance level.
