Your new role:
We are seeking an experienced People Services Manager (Shared Service Manager) to provide comprehensive and professional leadership and support to meet the needs of both our clinical and non-clinical colleagues. This role will act to improve the service experience of our stakeholders, build on current processes and be a trusted partner for People related advice. This generalist HR role is broad and varied, and you will ensure high quality operational People service delivery throughout the colleague lifecycle, while offering managers and colleagues support, and identifying trends for improvements.
Requirements
- Overall responsibility of the Onboarding and Compliance journey, ensuring the process is streamlined and is as effective and timely as possible.
- To continually maintain an acceptable Compliance score (as defined by the business) for both our clinical and non-clinical workforces.
- To conduct regular reviews ensuring all Onboarding and Compliance documentation (including necessary tasks) have been completed, and remain compliant.
- To have oversight of all Onboarding and Compliance related risk assessments, ensuring each is completed accurately, with confidence that the correct assessment has been made. Further sign off will be required by the Head of People Operations.
- To lead, engage and motivate the team to deliver an efficient and effective first line support service for both clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
- Responsible for leading, mentoring and developing team members to ensure their continued development.
- Ensure our internal processes are aligned across both our clinical and non-clinical workforces.
- Overall responsibility of the management and accuracy of our data storage platforms (Credentially, Microsoft Dynamics and BambooHR) ensuring that all systems remain up-to-date and efficient.
- Complete regular reviews of the internal people processes to ensure they are effective and streamlined.
- Produce monthly data reports to track and identify relevant themes and trends.
- Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulations.
- Any other tasks required to be completed by the business (which may include ad hoc involvement in various people related projects or queries).
Key Attributes/“Person Spec”
- CIPD qualified (level 5 or above) or equivalent knowledge and experience of managing an HR Shared Service Provision
- Experience of leading and creating a hr shared service function within a multi-disciplinary business
- An individual with high levels of attention to detail and initiative, with a genuine desire for continuous process improvement.
- Previous experience in a similar role, managing a multifaceted people function (including first line people support, escalation cases, onboarding and compliance) with multiple direct reports.
- Previous experience in a people generalist role, with the ability to provide technical guidance and solutions surrounding sickness absence, maternity and paternity leave, other absences, flexible working, probation and performance management queries.
- Strong people management skills, an individual who will continually motivate, engage and support the team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good general business acumen (preferable experience in data-rich analysis-driven organisations).
- Proven experience in establishing and managing HR shared service processes
- Proven experience of leading on several projects at the same time and delivering business positive outcomes
- Results driven with strong analytical capability (ability to analyse complex information and identify opportunities for further enhancement in a meaningful way).
- Experience of knowledge management tools, records management, management information, and audit
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to pay, pensions and benefits.
- Demonstratable experience of managing risk to the business.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with peers and stakeholders and influence decision making .
- Strong understanding of HR legislation, regulations and standards relating to the full colleague lifecycle.
