Join us, and together we can work to ensure a better tomorrow.

Fors Marsh is seeking an intelligent and motivated researcher to work as a part of a research team on large-scale survey efforts. As a part of our Military Research division, this individual will have the opportunity to work on some of our nation’s most important issues, including conducting research that supports the sustainment of our all-volunteer force. The researcher’s primary responsibilities will include conducting and reporting upon analyses of survey data, supporting questionnaire development and background research, and communicating findings in an impactful way to non-technical audiences. This job is best suited for someone who enjoys research, working collaboratively with team members and clients, consistently strives to improve, and wants to use research to make an impact.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing data, including data from large-scale tracking surveys from a variety of audiences.  Research topics will include marketing, outreach, and career decision-making.
  • Supporting and/or leading all aspects of the research process, including survey creation, data cleaning, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Conducting univariate and multivariate analyses to evaluate factors affecting military recruiting and the public’s perceptions of the Military.
  • Writing written reports and professional briefings that summarize research findings for non-technical audiences.
  • Upholding the highest standards of quality control for yourself and others.
  • Balancing roles and responsibilities across multiple concurrent studies.  Working under tight deadlines to fulfill client requests.
  • Anticipating potential barriers to project completion, proposing solutions to team leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a social science field such as survey methodology, psychology, sociology, public health, or other related fields.
  • A minimum of three years post-graduate professional research experience, preferably in the area of market or communication research, decision-making, or social psychology.
  • Excellent analytic and dataset manipulation skills (e.g., merging, recoding, cleaning) in at least one statistical software package (e.g., Stata, SPSS, SAS, R).
  • Experience creating visual and written summaries of research results (e.g., in PowerPoint and Word) that can be understood by non-technical audiences.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to identify and communicate key findings from research to non-technical audiences.
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision and as a team member.
  • Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.

We Offer:

  • Ability to make an impact on people’s lives, both internal and external to the organization.
  • Top-tier health, dental, vision, and long and short-term disability coverage all covered at 100% for employee coverage.
  • Remote work.
  • Our company culture, which values balance and allows each employee to take leave as they require it to balance the responsibilities of both their work and home lives without worrying about depleting their available leave hours.
  • We provide a floating holiday bank so you can celebrate the days you value.
  • Generous matching retirement contributions and no vesting period starting the third month of employment.
  • Dedicated training and development budgets to expand your expertise and grow your skill set.
  • You can volunteer your way with paid time off.
  • You can participate in Fors Marsh staff-led affinity groups.

Salary: $70,000 – $85,000
