What we’re looking for
The WorkMoney VP of Product will develop our products and services strategy grounded in the needs of our audience segments and, in turn, execute this plan to deliver member growth, real value in money saved for our members while also fueling the strength of the WorkMoney brand. This role will lead new product development, pipeline and portfolio strategy and management, build and buy partnership approach, spearhead member research including MVP testing and scale up/expansion for WorkMoney ‘s offerings. This is a job for a risk-tolerant entrepreneur and strategist – someone who can quickly develop a products/services plan, rapidly test new offerings, quickly jettison losing strategies, and effectively latch onto winning strategies. We have piloted several approaches to products and services across the build-buy continuum, and have a strong starting point as to what resonates with our audiences. However, we are ready to take our offerings to the next level. Ideally, you will be well versed in evaluating the build vs buy approach and have a strong orientation toward partnering both externally and internally.
The VP of Product will lead a team that develops new offerings that are tied to our overall organization’s strategies, and establishes and maintains partnerships and marketing strategies to get the right products and services to the right members. The VP of Product will report to the Chief Marketing Officer, and will be responsible for growing and optimizing our product and service offerings to generate measurable value for our members. The ideal candidate is a product leader with experience driving a sophisticated product portfolio with a deep understanding of consumer and market dynamics.
The VP of Product will join the team at a critical time as we continue to expand the WorkMoney brand and proposition. A successful candidate will:
- Be fluent in new product development approaches, in managing product/service partnerships, as well as in product launch plans and marketing strategies that generate value for our members, build our brand, and help WorkMoney grow
- Provide organizational leadership around products and services marketing, including input into investments that inform the product/service budget
- Gather, analyze, and use insights/research – including market research and user feedback – to inform product/service strategy and build upon the segmentation and marketing work we’ve done to date
- Possess a keen product/service-oriented mind, but is equally passionate about helping WorkMoney deploy not just any product or service, but the right products and services that bring real value to our audience
